Almost the end.

Thank you.

I would like to thank (in no particular):

  • Everyone who has visited Ipswich Unemployed Action, New Deal Scandal, New Deal Complaints, Jobseeker Advice, Flexible New Deal Discussion Boards etc.
  • Everyone who has contributed to the sites and have used the commenting systems
  • Everyone who has spread the word – in person, via the internet or via writing
  • Everyone who has linked to the sites and the articles contained within
  • Andrew Coates for forming the Ipswich Unemployed Action group and for speaking out about the New Deal (I found his blog which then started IUA, which led to this blog etc.)
  • The Government/DWP and YMCA Training for letting this all happen (if I was treated fairly then New Deal courses nationwide wouldn’t have been exposed (so much)!)
  • A4e Darren for confirming and denying some issues with A4e

The future?

New Deal Scandal will continue to be online and you can continue to comment but will not have any new updates. I will do a few more posts probably regarding my Tribunal. As New Deal has finished and been replaced with Flexible New Deal there isn’t much point continuing reporting on New Deal, however, it wont be forgotten about – besides we have other things to be focusing on, including, yes – Flexible New Deal!

Ipswich Unemployed Action will continue as usual.

Flexible New Deal Discussion Forums will continue to be updated.

Thanks NDS for an entertaining and educational blog on New Deal. The fact that you ruffled a few feathers of the welfare to work industry shows you’ve been doing a good job. I look forward to visiting your FND blog in due course. And good luck with the Tribunal.

there is still much to be said about new deal and those behind it.those that are its victims and still unemployed after enduring its bad treatment.

however it has to be seen for what it is a bully boy campaign to try and force people off benefits through talk and little substance only their ignorance and abuse.a chance for people to see what really lye’s behind the country and its future or lack of one and the people behind it.lightweight comes to mind with equally lightweight outcomes, their lack of ideas and solutions is clear for everyone to see, this feeds through to people on new deal and will be its epitaph in history.

I’m sorry to see you’re calling it a day, however I can see your point – seeing as how “Flexible” New Deal has come on stream recently.

Just wanted to say, I’ve enjoyed reading your blog, and found some useful information over the last few months. Good luck, and I’ll be sure to keep a keen eye on your other blog.

Thank you very much for all your work and investigating into New Deal and various related topics.

I, like many others, have learned a lot about what goes on, and it’s all thanks to you (and everyone else who shared their experiences).

Good luck with your tribunal and i can’t wait to join yourself and everyone else on the FND blog.
