Mark Pilkington is an ex-soldier who hasn’t worked for 10 years. He welcomes help and within a fortnight he finds a job. But the joy of receiving his first pay cheque is short-lived; after just four weeks a business downturn results in Mark being laid off.

Sherrie Jepson, a former car saleswoman, has the job of selling the idea of employment to people who were previously considered too sick to work. Kieron Tandy fell from a third-floor balcony while celebrating his 18th birthday in Turkey. He has metal pins in his back and has restricted mobility.
I think the whole new deal scheme is distgusting…whether it be the 2 week course or the 13 or even 24 week….on any of the courses you are treat like a 10 year old, you are made to apply for jobs you either dont want or couldnt support yourself on…its just wrong in so many ways.
So…I took this into my own hands and created a petition which is sent directly to Number 10..Its open for a year (until Dec2010) and needs at least 500 names to go through, I hope you can all sign this and get rid of the new deal courses or even re-think the way they are done.
