Welfare Reform Bill

The welfare reform plans are not limited to the proposed Welfare Reform Bill.

The Welfare Reform Bill is the first stage to lightly introduce the parts of the overall plan.

There will be up to 4 revisions in later years, gradually enforcing more stricter and unfair clauses.

The Jobseeker’s Allowance (Joint Claims: Consequential Amendments) Regulations 2000

(again, this list excludes child support, council tax, and other benefits which aren’t JSA but makes references to, such as housing benefits i.e. not all JSA claimants claim Housing Allowance. The JSA New Deal legislation as mentioned above are not included here too.)

Both examples exclude pilot legislation too and also excludes location specific legislation i.e. N.I and Scotland. Most are General UK anyway.

If you are a Jobseeker, next time you hear “Jobseekers Act 1995 (as amended)” it means all the above laws (and more!)

Feel free to notice amendments of amendments (i.e. “(No. 2)”)!!

Took me a while to research these so hope it helps!
