I made a formal complaint about A4e to the jobcentre. They ignored it. It’s a box-ticking exercise, all spin and no substance. At best it’s a non-entity and at worst it’s prejudiced, judgemental and harmful to people.

I would write to them again, asking when can you expect a reply to your complaint. Tell them that you expect to hear from them by the end of this month, and if you don’t, or if you’re not satisfied with their response, you will write directly to the employment minister and maybe the media.

This should move them as they are quite happy to sweep things under the carpet that are in their office, but they can’t sweep them once it’s no longer in their office. It also makes them look bad in the eyes of their bosses and the media.

    Good luck, give us informed.

Cheryl: I would write to the jobcentre again, but say that unless they respond to your complaint within 14 days you will contact your MP.

the treatment i personally received on new deal is a disgrace to any citizen and can only sympathise with cheryl.perhaps they should read here.

this from my experience was liked back to the job centre where the provider and the new deal advisor were hand in hand, interestingly now it appears from reading that the employment officer authority status is to be extended to these individuals.

beware of the job centre and tactics i was given a blank side of paper to sign, and told to mention i didnt get the job on turning this over it was a form to adjudicate that was fillied in,he did not want me to see that side by his face, apparently the employer said i hadnt applied, very fortunately i kept the rejection letter from this job i had received earlier.
beware these tactics keep proof of everything.
